Meet Our Optometrists
Cameron Horch, OD
Dr. Horch discovered his fascination with eyes during his undergraduate research on the cause of macular degeneration. He combined his interest in eyes with his love of people by pursuing a career as an optometrist. Dr. Horch earned his Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University. He completed an internship in ocular disease, including caring for patients in skilled nursing facilities in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Jett Scrimsher, OD
Dr. Scrimsher had an interest in human biology and anatomy since he was a young child. In his undergraduate studies, he ultimately chose the optometric profession as he enjoys working with and helping others. He attended Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon, where he earned his doctorate of optometry. During his time at Pacific, Dr Scrimsher was involved in many community outreach events providing free eye exams to underserved communities. He also had the opportunity to travel to rural Guatemala with a team and provide eye care to several remote towns and villages there.
Matt Georgeson, OD
Dr. Georgeson has been spent his career as an optometrist specializing in the care of eyes through the aging process. He has worked in private practice and an ophthalmology clinic.
He has a bachelor's degree in human biology, and received a doctorate of optometry from Pacific University in Oregon. As a student, he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Georgeson completed clinical rotations in ocular disease at the VA Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, and at clinics in central and western Oregon.
Lindsey Marvel, OD
Dr. Marvel’s interest in vision began in childhood and has grown throughout her life. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry and went on to work in tribal and Indian Health Service clinics in Minnesota and New Mexico, advise the Seva Foundation’s Native Nations eye care programs, and provide teleoptometry where access to eye care was limited. For her work with the Seva Foundation, Dr. Marvel received a Vision Excellence Award from the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness. She has traveled to India and Alaska to learn from the Aravind Eye Care System’s model of accessible eye care and Southcentral Foundation’s community-led Nuka System of Care. She is also interested in the development of portable diagnostic tools for eye care and has worked on early prototypes designed to expand access to care outside traditional clinics.
